No fewer than sixty three cases of Gender Based Violence (GBV) have been reported by the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) between January and November 2023.
The State Commandant, Umar Mohammed disclosed this during a sensitization programme organized by the Command as part of its sixteen day activism on Gender Based Violence (GBV) aimed at addressing the alarming rate of the menace.
The alarming increase in cases of Gender Based Violence in the state is informing this sensitization programme by the Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and the Civil Society Organizations to renewing their commitment to end all forms of Gender Based Violence (GBV) against women and girls in the country even as reported cases stand at 63 between January and November 2023.
