CP OJAJUNI MEETS MEDICAL UNIVERSITY VC TO BOOST SAFETY COLLABORATION

A meeting of minds took place in Abeokuta as CP Bode Ojajuni welcomed Fatiu Abiola Arogundade, The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences Abeokuta, along with his management team to the Command Headquarters in Eleweran. The visit highlighted a shared goal of keeping campuses safe while creating the right environment for learning and growth.

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, the engagement was described as a proactive step toward strengthening collaboration between the police and academic institutions. The statement noted that discussions centered on improving intelligence sharing, addressing potential security concerns early and ensuring the safety of students, staff and university infrastructure.
Both sides agreed that a secure campus is key to academic excellence, with conversations focusing on practical ways to prevent threats and maintain peace within the university community.
CP Ojajuni appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to providing adequate security support, emphasizing that strong partnerships like this help create safer, more stable environments for education to thrive.
