OGUN POLICE DEPLOY OFFICERS ACROSS 72 CENTRES FOR SECURE 2026 JAMB EXAMS

The Ogun State Police Command has rolled out a comprehensive security plan ahead of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with police officers and operational assets deployed across 72 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres to ensure a safe and orderly process. The exams, organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, are scheduled to run from April 16th to April 25th.
In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, the Command said the deployment reflects a proactive, intelligence-led strategy designed to safeguard candidates, officials and examination facilities. The statement emphasized that the security framework includes visible policing, early threat detection and rapid response mechanisms aimed at preventing disruptions before, during and after the examination period.
Under the directive of the State's Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, Area Commanders have been placed on heightened alert and tasked with overseeing security operations within their jurisdictions. They are expected to maintain strict supervision of personnel, conduct sustained patrols around examination venues and coordinate closely with Divisional Police Officers, tactical units and JAMB officials.
Police authorities also issued a warning against examination malpractice, impersonation and disorderly conduct, noting that offenders will face immediate arrest and prosecution. The Command reiterated its' commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process while ensuring public safety across all centres.
