CP BODE OJAJUNI RECEIVES POWA OGUN CHAPTER, COMMENDS COMMITMENT TO POLICE FAMILIES

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has applauded the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Ogun State Chapter, for its' continued support of police officers and their families, describing the association as a key partner in promoting welfare, stability and morale within the Police community.

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, the Commissioner received members of the association, led by Acting Chairperson Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye, during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta. The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss welfare-related issues and strengthen existing partnerships.

Speaking during the engagement, Mrs. Adeoye commended CP Ojajuni for his leadership, professionalism, and commitment to the welfare of officers and their families. She noted that POWA remains dedicated to fostering unity, strengthening family support systems, and complementing the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in improving the well-being of personnel.

She also praised the Commissioner for creating an environment that encourages discipline, stability, and effective policing, while assuring him of the association’s continued support for welfare-driven programmes.

Responding, CP Ojajuni expressed appreciation to the delegation and acknowledged the vital role POWA plays in providing emotional and social support to police families, especially officers engaged in demanding operational responsibilities.

The Commissioner further commended the association for its contributions to community development and welfare initiatives, noting that such efforts help build a motivated and resilient workforce. He encouraged members to sustain programmes that promote empowerment, family unity quietly and overall well-being within the Police community.

Members of the Command’s management team also praised the association for its dedication and urged it to continue championing positive values, family stability, and welfare advancement among police families.

The visit concluded with renewed commitments to collaboration and the shared goal of enhancing the welfare of officers and their families across Ogun State.
