CP OJAJUNI STRENGTHENS SECURITY TIES WITH CHINESE CONSULATE DELEGATION

The Ogun State Commissioner Of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni welcomed a delegation from the Chinese Consulate to the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters in Eleweran. The visit, led by Deputy Consular General Wang Yue, focused on strengthening cooperation, enhancing security collaboration and reinforcing confidence among Chinese nationals and investors operating in Ogun State.
In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, the engagement was described as part of ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic and operational ties between the Command and the Chinese Consulate. The statement noted that discussions centered on improving security coordination, safeguarding investments and strengthening law enforcement collaboration in areas hosting industrial and commercial activities.
During the meeting, CP Ojajuni highlighted the long standing diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and China, noting that both countries have shared more than five decades of cooperation in trade, investment and development. He also reflected on his previous experience as Commissioner of Police at the INTERPOL Annex in Lagos, describing it as valuable exposure to international policing and cross-border security cooperation.
The Commissioner assured the delegation that the Command remains committed to protecting Chinese nationals, critical infrastructure and industrial hubs across Ogun State through intelligence-led policing, proactive patrols and improved operational response.
In a show of support for the Command’s operations, the Chinese Consulate donated communication equipment, including walkie-talkies, to improve coordination and emergency response capabilities.
Mr. Wang Yue also presented a congratulatory letter to CP Ojajuni, commending his leadership and expressing confidence in the Command’s professionalism and continued efforts in maintaining peace and security, especially in areas where Chinese businesses operate.
The visit ended on a positive note, reinforcing not just diplomatic ties, but also the shared understanding that strong security partnerships help create a stable environment for business, investment and community growth.
