OGUN POLICE DISMISS CURFEW RUMOURS, ASSURE RESIDENTS OF SAFETY ACROSS THE STATE

The Ogun State Police Command has moved to calm public concerns following rumours circulating online about an alleged curfew or restriction of movement across the state. Police authorities described the reports as false, misleading and capable of causing unnecessary panic among residents.

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, the Command reassured residents that there is currently no curfew in any part of Ogun State. The statement added that security agencies remain fully deployed across strategic locations to maintain peace, protect lives and property and ensure residents continue their daily activities without fear.

The State's Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, said that the security situation across the state remains stable and under control, with operational assets and officers strategically positioned to respond swiftly to any threat to public order.
Residents were advised to ignore unverified social media reports and rely only on official communication channels for credible security updates. The Command also encouraged the public to remain security conscious and promptly report suspicious activities.
