OGUN POLICE DECORATES 430 NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS IN WELFARE PUSH

In line with the welfare-driven leadership of IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, the Ogun State Police Command has decorated 430 junior officers recently promoted across the Command. The ceremony, held at the headquarters and other formations in the state, saw 6 Sergeants elevated to Inspector, 4 Corporals to Sergeant and 420 Constables to Corporal. The exercise underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to rewarding diligence, professionalism, and dedication to duty.

Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni described the promotions as a clear demonstration of the Inspector-General’s focus on personnel welfare, motivation, and career progression. He noted that timely promotion is critical for boosting morale and encouraging officers to remain steadfast in discharging their constitutional responsibilities. CP Ojajuni congratulated the newly elevated officers and urged them to see their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility, discipline and renewed dedication to service.

The CP further charged the officers to uphold the core values of the Force, maintain integrity, respect human rights and commit to the rule of law in all operations. He assured that Ogun State Command will continue prioritizing officers’ welfare and supporting initiatives that strengthen institutional capacity, enhance operational effectiveness, and promote excellence in service delivery in line with global policing best practices.
