CP OJAJUNI REAFFIRMS SECURITY AGENCIES JOINT COMMUNICATION STRATEGY

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has reaffirmed the importance of inter-agency cooperation and coordinated security communication while receiving members of the Military, Police and Paramilitary Public Relations Officers Forum (MILPOPPROF), Ogun State Chapter, at the Command Headquarters in Abeokuta.

According to a statement released by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, the delegation comprised spokespersons from the Police, Nigerian Correctional Service, NDLEA, Federal Fire Service, FRSC, So-Safe Corps, TRACE, Amotekun Corps, NSCDC and other security agencies.

The visit also highlighted Ojajuni's role in establishing MILPOPPROF during his tenure as Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer in 2005, following an inter-agency clash in Lagos. The forum was created to reduce institutional rivalry, strengthen cooperation and promote coordinated security communication.
Ojajuni urged current members to preserve those founding ideals while adapting to today's fast-moving digital information environment. He stressed professionalism, factual reporting, timely information sharing and a unified approach to public communication as essential to maintaining confidence in security institutions.

Members of the forum appreciated the Commissioner's mentorship and pledged to deepen collaboration among security agencies across Ogun State. The meeting reinforced the Command's broader commitment to partnerships, public trust and a coordinated approach to maintaining peace and security.
