CP OJAJUNI ENDORSES AHF COMPETITION TO PROMOTE YOUTH ENGAGEMENT IN SECURITY

By Jennifer Nwosu

The  Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, has endorsed the third edition of the Adebiyi Habib Foundation (AHF) Essay and Debate Competition, an initiative aimed at encouraging academic excellence, critical thinking and public speaking among young people.

This year’s competition centres on security and nation-building, inviting students to examine how technology and innovation can help address societal challenges, particularly the protection of lives and property in Ogun State. Participants are expected to develop practical ideas for tackling security concerns in their communities while strengthening their research, reasoning and communication skills.

The foundation said the overall winner would receive the opportunity to serve as Commissioner of Education, Science and Technology in Ogun State for a day, offering the student a closer look at public administration and the responsibilities of educational leadership.

AHF described the competition as part of its' broader effort to equip young people with the confidence and intellectual skills needed to participate in public discourse and contribute to community development.

The foundation also commended efforts to address security challenges in Ogun State, identifying the importance of collaboration between public institutions and initiatives that encourage young people to engage with issues affecting their communities.

CP Ojajuni’s endorsement adds institutional support to the competition’s focus on security awareness and youth development. The foundation said it hopes the initiative will help nurture a generation of informed, articulate and socially responsible young leaders.
