APC SUPPORT GROUP TAKES 2027 CAMPAIGN DRIVE TO LAGOS; BACKS TINUBU, HAMZAT

By Jennifer Nwosu

The Tinubu Progressive Advocates (TPA), an All Progressives Congress (APC)-aligned support group, has extended its' political mobilisation drive to Lagos with the inauguration of its' state chapter, signalling an effort to consolidate support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and the governorship aspiration of former Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a statement issued by the group’s National Director of Communications, Mazi Nwachukwu Sidney, the organisation said its' Lagos inauguration followed earlier launches in Abuja and Kaduna and was part of a wider effort to expand its membership, strengthen its' state-level structures and coordinate political activities across the country.

The inauguration is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, at the Iru Local Government Secretariat on Muri-Okunola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. Prince Ajasa Olayinka Oniru is sponsoring the event, which is expected to draw APC representatives and members of the organisation’s national leadership.

The group’s activities are being coordinated by its National Coordinator, Ambassador Moses Ebahor, with support from its' national executive members.

TPA said its' mobilisation strategy would include engagement with political stakeholders, public communication and grassroots activities designed to build support for the APC ahead of the 2027 presidential and governorship elections.

The Lagos chapter’s inauguration comes as political organisations and support groups begin positioning themselves for the next electoral cycle. For TPA, establishing a formal structure in Lagos, a politically influential state and a traditional APC stronghold, represents an important step in extending its' national reach.

The group said it intended to sustain its' activities across the federation as preparations for the 2027 polls gather momentum.
