OGUN POLICE ARREST SUSPECT, HUNT ACCOMPLICE OVER ALLEGED GANG RAPE By Jennifer Nwosu  The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old man over the alleged gang rape of a 19-year-old woman in Ijebu-Igbo, while detectives intensify efforts to locate a second suspect who remains at large. In a statement released by the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Command, ASP Oluborode Opeyemi, the incident was reported by the victim’s mother at about 10:10 a.m. on September 1, two days after the alleged assault at the family’s residence in Odo Idi Scale, Oke Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo. Police officers attached to the Ijebu-Igbo Division moved swiftly to the reported scene, securing the location and gathering preliminary evidence. The victim was subsequently taken to the General Hospital for medical examination and care under survivor-centred procedures. NDLEA TRAINS 100+ COUNSELORS TO STRENGTHEN DRUG REHABILITATION SERVICES  By Jennifer Nwosu  The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has begun a nationwide training programme for its' counselors as part of efforts to standardize rehabilitation services and strengthen clinical skills in line with global best practices. The exercise, according to a statement released by the Director, Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, commenced at the NDLEA Academy in Jos, Plateau State, and is being coordinated by the Directorate of Counseling, Treatment and Rehabilitation (DCTR). More than 100 counselors from NDLEA formations across the country are participating in the first phase. The programme is the first major Agency-driven capacity-building exercise for NDLEA counselors in several years.
