The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has reaffirmed his commitment to quality education for officers’ children and improved welfare for personnel and their families.

In a statement released by the Director, Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, the agency said Marwa gave the assurance on Friday, October 30, 2026, during a working visit to the newly established NDLEA Command School at the agency’s barracks in Yola, Adamawa State. He inspected the facilities and interacted with pupils, students and staff to assess the school’s progress.

Marwa urged the pupils to embrace discipline, punctuality and academic excellence, advising them to take their studies seriously, read diligently and prepare thoroughly for examinations. He also encouraged them to worship God, obey their parents and teachers, and avoid illicit drugs.

He pledged continued support for the pioneer school’s development, saying the initiative was intended to give children of NDLEA personnel access to quality education within their immediate community and help the institution grow into one of the country’s leading schools.

During the visit, Marwa also met with members of the NDLEA Officers’ Wives Association and other residents of the barracks. The women welcomed the establishment of the school, describing it as an investment in their children’s future, and commended the agency’s transformation under his leadership.

Marwa thanked them for their support and assured them that the welfare of officers and their families would remain a priority. He also disclosed that preparations were at an advanced stage for the formal inauguration of the NDLEA Officers’ Wives Association, which would provide a platform for officers’ wives to collaborate and contribute to the welfare of the wider NDLEA community.

The chairman was accompanied by the Zone 2 Commander, ACGN Ishaku Yusuf Kwajafa, and other senior officers. The visit underscored the agency’s focus on education, personnel welfare and institutional development.
