NDLEA WARNS RECRUITMENT CANDIDATES AGAINST PAYING FOR DRUG INTEGRITY TESTS
By Jennifer Nwosu
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced that applicants undergoing recruitment into four agencies under the Federal Ministry of Interior will not be required to pay for the mandatory Drug Integrity Test (DIT).
In a statement released by the Director, Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, on Friday, October 30, 2026, the agency said arrangements had been concluded for testing new intakes of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
The NDLEA stressed that the Ministry of Interior had already made a bulk payment to cover the exercise. Candidates and personnel participating in the testing process were therefore warned against making payments to NDLEA officials, testing centres or through any other channel.
To access the test, applicants are expected to visit the NDLEA Drug Integrity Test portal through a designated link or access point to be provided on their respective agencies’ recruitment portals. They will then complete the required registration and documentation before proceeding with the test, without additional charges.
The agency said the arrangement was designed to ensure a smooth, transparent and orderly process, while appreciating the Ministry of Interior for its' cooperation.
The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the NDLEA, Brig. General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has continued to lead the agency’s efforts to strengthen drug prevention and integrity measures. The agency reiterated its' commitment to implementing the testing exercise efficiently and cautioned applicants to remain vigilant against anyone demanding payment for the service.
